It’s all made up on the spot using suggestions from the audience and is always hilariously funny. Until now, improvised comedy was a relatively unknown entity in South African entertainment, Starship Improvise aims to bring it into the mainstream, proving that “local is lekker”. After searching the galaxy for many light years, Starship Improvise has enlisted some of the greatest, sharpest comical minds in the country to give you a comedy experience to remember, including Malcolm Ferreira, Alyn Adams, Vittorio Leonardi, Ryan Whittal and the NEW RECRUITS Mpho Popps, Robby Collins, Richeleau Benoir and Mojack Lehoko who have played to audiences countrywide, as well as on TV, as a highlight on two successful seasons of Mzanzi Magic’s LOL show. Already delighting crowds at sell out shows at venues in Norwood, Fourways, Randburg as well as Sandton Theatre on the Square, Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Casino and the Heavyweight Comedy Jam, Starship Improvise has gained a reputation as being “the best of the best” in South African improv and looks set to continue taking the country by storm.
